first_imgagentscruiseinformation eventsPonantupcoming events PONANT has announced dates in August for its next round of EXPLORER SERIES Information Events, equally popular with travel agents and their clients. Travel agents are encouraged to bring potential clients with them to the function or encourage clients to come along unattended – on the basis that any sales commitments will be credited to the relevant agent to ensure commissions are maintained. Meet PONANT expedition team members Mick Fogg (who has recently returned from the Arctic and will share his experience at both Sydney and Melbourne events) and Sandrine Erwin-Rose (Brisbane event), to hear about PONANT’s luxury eco-responsible expedition and small-ship cruise fleet and the extensive global range of itineraries. As an award-winning wildlife photographer and adventurer, Mick has spent 17 years leading expeditions and photographing some of the world’s most remote destinations from Antarctica to South East Asia. Mick has designed itineraries and led over 300 expeditions through Antarctica, the Sub-Antarctic Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, South Pacific, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Malaysia. Sandrine grew up in North Queensland with the Great Barrier Reef as her backyard, and pursued studies in Tropical Zoology, Ecology & Marine Biology at James Cook University. During her studies and whilst being a research assistant she worked in areas rich in biodiversity from the tropical rainforests of North Queensland, to arid desert landscapes dominated by her beloved reptiles. Working as a zoo-keeper and then as a naturalist guide on board boats visiting the Great Barrier Reef, wildlife has always been an important part of her life. Working for PONANT as a naturalist guide since 2014, focusing on destinations in Asia Pacific including Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Melanesia, the Sub-Antarctic Islands and more recently Antarctica (where she too acquired the ‘Polar Bug’!) she is always keen to share her passion for wildlife, conservation and the protection of the environment.Exclusive offers available on the day!Choose from either a 2.00pm and 6.00pm session.
