first_imgBUNCRANA GAA NOTES FOR WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 16th October 2011 Senior Football While there was no game last weekend, Buncrana currently lie joint second with Aodh Ruadh  , Ballyshannon on 18 points, six points behind league leaders Naomh Mhuire.  However several teams are close behind, including Naomh Naille on 17 points who have three games in hand.  Naomh Mhuire and Aodh Ruadh also have two games in hand on Buncrana.PromotionAs passed in February of this year.  The Team that finishes top of league, wins the league and is automatically promoted to the next highest Division.  The second and third placed teams in Division 2,3,4  playoff for promotion   purposes.  In League Playoffs, extra time if needed is ten minutes a side.  Where teams finish level at the top, the scoring difference between them decides who is to be promoted.  The Top team of each reserve league wins the league.Relegation Two teams to be relegated as follows.  Bottom team in Div 1, Div 2, Div 3 Relegated.  Second and third from bottom to play off to decide the other team to be relegated.  Scoring difference will not decide relegation issues.  Playoffs will decide if teams finish level on points.Buncrana GAA Strictly Come DancingTickets now on sale for “Strictly Come Dancing” to be held in the Plaza on Sunday 30th October in aid of the Buncrana GAA Youth Development Fund.  Tickets available from any of the dancers, An Siopa Gruaige, The Coffee Cup, Catriona (086 852 1011), Jacqueline (087 786 5146) or call to the Clubhouse Fridays 7-8pm.  Check out our facebook page.  Please support our club in what promises to be a great night’s entertainment.BORD na nÓGManager’s ReportsAll underage managers are asked to prepare a short note on their side’s year for the Donegal yearbook, and forward to Seamus ([email protected] – 083 347 2223) or Paul ([email protected] – 087 929 3134) asap.  The deadline is Friday 21st October but please send in as soon as possible.  There are still a few managers who have not forwarded their team’s notes for the year.
